Sangita Shrestha joined CNSUK as a Research Associate in January 2014. At CNSUK, Sangita leads the environmental project which aims to measure awareness and attitudes towards environmentally friendly food among people of different ethnic backgrounds in Britain. She is also a co-investigator in a ‘Social Mobility’ project. Apart from her research skills, Sangita also brings over 10 years of international experience in communications and media relations. She has worked in a range of organisations from United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through to Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) and Lutheran World Federation. Educated in England, Nepal and Australia, Sangita holds a PhD in Sociology from University of Surrey (United Kingdom), a Master’s degree in Anthropology (Nepal) and Diploma in Information Technology (Australia).
Currently, Sangita is also affiliated to University of Surrey as a Visiting Researcher.
